The brown Camry was packed with trash bags full of clothing. The trunk contained a metal lock-box that held the video camera, several unopened SD memory cards, the pistol, several boxes of .380 ammunition, the fake Channel 7 ID and an envelope of cash. Driving the Camry carefully towards the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, Bill Klemmer was sleepless, frightened, and clueless about where to go and what to do since learning the police had been to his home.

"I'll be fine," he said out loud, being careful to stay within the speed limit and to not run any of the camera-equipped red lights on the Roosevelt Boulevard. The plan was to live out of the Camry until the heat was off. But he didn't know when the heat would be off. He wasn't sure how the police were led to his home. Did someone see his car that night? Maybe someone got the license number. Oh, probably someone had a camera going, he concluded. In any event, he was certain his car had been made, and so keeping it in motion was the thing to do. He had no hard target, so he decided to drive to New Jersey. Taking the Tacony-Palmyra would put him onto route 73 southbound into New Jersey, destination unknown.
